Who we are

Soft 17 (soft17.club) is run by Soft 17, based in England, UK, and is the "controller" of the little personal data described here. Contact: contact@soft17.club.

What we collect

The name you choose and, if you pick one, your country flag. There are no accounts, passwords or email addresses.
Table activity and chat messages. These are held in the server's memory only and disappear when tables close or the service restarts. We do not keep a permanent record.
A random session token and your settings (name, flag, sound, ad choice), stored in your browser's local storage so you can reconnect. You can clear them any time in your browser settings.
Technical data. Our hosting provider (Fly.io) processes your IP address and request logs to deliver and secure the service.

Advertising and cookies

If advertising is switched on, we only load ad scripts after you accept the advertising banner. Our ad partner (for example Google AdSense) may then set cookies or use similar technology to show and measure ads, and may use your data under its own policies. If you choose "No ads, thanks", no ad scripts are loaded. You can change your choice any time using "Ad choices" at the bottom of the lobby.

To run the game, keep it secure, and (with your consent) show ads that help pay for it.

Legal basis (UK GDPR)

We run the game and keep it secure under our legitimate interests in providing a safe, working service. We only use advertising cookies with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using "Ad choices" in the lobby.

Who we share data with

Our hosting provider, Fly.io, processes technical data to run the service. If you accept advertising, our ad partner (for example Google) receives data through its ad scripts under its own privacy policy. We do not sell your data.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, to restrict or object to its use, and to withdraw consent. Because we hold almost nothing about you, the simplest step is to clear your browser's site data. You can also email us at contact@soft17.club. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

The game is for people aged 18 and over.

We may update this policy and will change the "Last updated" date at the top when we do.
